[ TLV | Video ] 009 - Hi my name is Sneezy.
[Sittin' in her bed back in her cabin, drinking some juice through a pink double-heart-shaped crazy-straw. Her hair is a little messy (though she does have a pink streak in it) and she looks pale, but otherwise there's no leftover visible trace of her illness from the last few days. (Don't ask her how she got flu-type sickness in space. From port, maybe? She hasn't thought too hard on the how yet.) There is, however, an audible trace - her voice sounds lower than usual, and still sort of congested.]
Uhm. Sorry I've been AWOL from the Network for a while, you guys. I was kind of down for the count. To be honest, it was kinda good timing? But also bad timing. Eh, never mind. It was neutral timing. But weird. Guess I called it on the space-sickness though, huh? [A grin here, though she knows that wasn't the type of sickness she was referring to when she first arrived on the Barge.]
How much did I miss, anyway? Fill me in, pretty please? My eyes are still too tired to go back-tracking.
[Private to Merlin]
Thank you.
[Private to Dracula]
I seem to recall you leaving me a message, but for the life of me I can't even remember what was going on. You doing okay?
[Private to Dean]
Thanks for hauling my ass to the medical ward during the worst of it, despite my protesting. I did manage to get back before Willow got soul-ified, so all's good here. Or mostly good, anyway.

And hi. The name's Duo, I just arrived.

Oh hey, a newbie. [A smile, though then she gives a little half-shrug.] Not like I can actually call you that though, since I've only been here like a month. Still getting used to everything myself. And, yeah. Uh. I'm Claudia Donovan. Like to think of myself as the resident techie geek, but there's more like me around, so. I'm also real into music, though, so there's that.
[She clears her throat a little, still trying to get her voice back.] Anyway, anything you have questions about, feel free to ask. I'd really recommend going to Chromie, though. She's sort of the unofficial welcome wagon. Got a nifty pamphlet and everything.

Hm. It's accurate even so, aaand it's alot to get used to. Heh!
Tech geek you say? Guess I'll be your new rival on that end, although I wouldn't use the word 'geek'. [He can't. He's a guy.] As for everything else? I approve.
[Thumbs up.]?
Hey, I don't want you to strain your voice any more than you have to. Do you wanna switch to text? As for Chromie, if she doesn't find me I'll find her. Thanks for the recommendation.

It is a whole lot to get used to, that's for sure. And there's even more to get used to once you've actually been assigned to an inmate.
[A grateful smile here.] Text'd probably be good, thanks. [And some fiddling with her communicator... The video feed shuts off, and text appears instead.]
Yeah, Chromie. She's a sweet one. Also, apparently a dragon? I don't know much about it, haven't asked. She certainly doesn't look like what I picture when I think of "dragon", though.
It's almost a little hard being a techie here, because there's not a whole lot to play with. I kind of miss hacking into bank accounts and federal databases.

You missed a... flood. [Which Angua is trying desperately not to think about.] Not, er, much.
no subject
[Sorry Angua, you mentioned flood. Now there will be questions. Claudia is a questions type of gal.] Oh? Flood? Like the actress/actor thing we got before, or something different?

Looks like there's some apologies floating around. Did the flood suck for everyone, or did some actually enjoy it? Because my first flood was actually kinda cool. Though, uh, also, you know, disorienting.

You can always count on me to completely ignore whatever you tell me to do, darlin'. [This with a grin, though it doesn't linger.] You doin' okay now?
[ Video ]
[Private]
[He gets a grin in return from Claudia.] I'll make note of that.
[There's a small shrug.] Eh, mostly. Definitely getting there. I'm hoping I didn't say anything weird to anybody while I was all wacky with fever, though. [A slight tilt of the head, as she regards the screen.] How are you?
[ Video ]
[ Private ]
What're you talking about - you say weird things to people even when you're not all wacky with fever. [But he pairs it with an impish bounce of his eyebrows, corner of his mouth curled in amusement.] I'm fine.
No one's been screaming for help, so I'm gonna guess the Willow thing is going as well as it can?

You're welcome.
How is she?
Private/Video
She's... She's okay. I spent the last few days with her. She's uh, kinda antisocial right now, but. [Sort of an understatement.] It's not as bad as it could have been?
Private/Video
I understand.

Why good timing?

[Private]
Only because I was majorly stressing out and also bored out of my mind down there in level zero, so. Getting to sleep the majority of the time was kind of nice? In a way? I think I needed it.
no subject
Yeah, Alfred Pennyworth. He's - well technically he's our butler, but I've known him for years. He's like the grandfather I never had. Who happens to make amazing chicken soup.
[Private]
Almost definitely. I vaguely recall a scolding about not getting enough sleep.
